Would recommend for a weekend
Spacious, modern and clean rooms, comfortable mattresses that ensured a good night’s sleep and complimentary beverages that my son enjoyed. The hotel is conveniently located overlooking the historic railway station made famous by a classic film.
Everything was ideal.

The Royal offered a delightful stay, highlighted by the spacious and clean Twin Room Ensuite Bath, which featured ample amenities like tea and biscuits. The dining experience was exceptional, especially the tapas that showcased vibrant flavors and high-quality ingredients. The staff were attentive and quick to assist, making the entire experience feel personalized and welcoming.
The only downside was some street noise that could be heard occasionally from the room.

The dining options at The Royal are truly a treat! Enjoy the delicious offerings, especially at the cozy restaurant where the chef cooks up a storm. Plus, it's just a stone's throw from fab local spots like Sizzle Inn and Peking Takeaway for when you're feeling peckish. The staff were genuinely friendly, which made a huge difference!
I did struggle a bit with no proper desk for work, and the mini fridge was a bit dodgy. we had a towel hiccup and some cleaning lapses, which didn't sit right for the £90 price tag. The street parking was a pain too.

missingWrote a review on 15 Junrooftop diningdelicious tapasfresh ingredientsinconvenient fixtures
The rooftop drinking and dining experience is a real gem, especially with views that add a special touch to your meal. Tapas offerings showcase fresh ingredients and range from flavorful seafood to mouthwatering meat dishes, making it hard to choose just a few.
The lift access can be a real drag, as it only serves a couple of floors, leaving guests lugging bags up multiple flights of stairs. Noise from adjacent rooms and common areas can disrupt sleep, particularly if you're near the main entrance where foot traffic is constant. some fixtures in the bathroom could use better placement. the taps, for instance, seem a bit inconvenient to operate, and the extractor fan in the bathroom runs for an eternity after the light is turned off.
